Farm & quality

Good eggs start long before the egg.

Feed, housing, health and daily records. This is how we run the farm at Neknoor, under the eye of a veterinarian.

White laying hens in our shed
Maize cobs in the field
Our feed mill

We make every kilo our hens eat.

Grain and meal are bought, checked on arrival and milled on site into rations for each stage of the flock. No bought-in mystery feed.

How we keep quality steady

Four things we never skip

Biosecurity

Fenced farm, one controlled entry, vehicle and foot disinfection, and no visitors inside the sheds.

Vet-led bird health

A vaccination schedule set by our founder, a veterinarian, with every medicine logged against its shed.

Daily collection & grading

Eggs are collected through the day, cracked and dirty eggs are set aside, and the rest are graded and trayed.

A digital daily register

Feed, water, mortality and egg counts for every shed are entered daily and approved by the farm manager.
